Talking, Running, and Working

MWe've had a somewhat eventful week...

Graham started making his first official talking noises this week. "Ba-ba-ba..." It's precious! His little cheeks get so full of air when he does it. He also visited Dr. Bishop for his 6-month checkup. Our little fella is getting big! He's 18 pounds, 3 ounces and 27.75 inches long. Though he's a big boy, he's actually evening out by being in the 70th percentile for weight and 85th for height.

On Saturday I ran a 10k. It's "Pig Weekend", or the weekend of the marathon in Cincinnati. I trained with a group from church, though I will honestly admit I trained much better for the first half of our training than the last. My time was 1:11:36, which averages for an 11:30 mile. I'm very happy wth that! I can't wait until the next race. I forget how addictive that can be!

Lastly, Brent found out this week that he got a manager position at work. He starts a new schedule soon that will have him working 8 hour days for the first time in his career and home both morning and night. We are so proud of him!

And one cute story. On Friday night Brent and I tried everything possible to get a babysitter and it did not work out, so I took Oliver to get my race packet and to the pasta dinner at church. When I got home from work, before our adventure began, Oliver greeted me with a single white roses dn personally signed card and asked, "Mom will you go on a date with me?" It's definitely a moment I will remember for years to come!
