Graham is 11 Months Old!

Today Graham is 11 months old. This year has passed even faster than Oliver's first year, which I never thought possible! So here are some updates on our little fella...

Graham eats like a champ. He enjoys four bottles a day, which he can finally feed himself, though we love rocking him in the morning and at night to give him his bottle. With three of the meals, which are eaten at the same time as the family, he gets homemade baby food and sometimes more solid things that he can mash up like bananas and avocados. In the afternoon he has a snack of crackers or puffs with water. Just last week we had to increase his food amount because he was starting to get fussy at daycare. We are happy that he's a good eater! We are working on him taking a sippy cup, but he's just not that interested.

Sleeping includes a 2-3 hour nap around noon and about 11 hours at night. He does very well with his night routine, which includes taking a bath, usually with Oliver, and then enjoying a bottle before bed. Afterward he usually snuggles in my arms for a minute or two (longer if I'm lucky), then lays in his bed with his blankie and monkey to the sound of his music box. Most nights by the time I get Oliver in his bed Graham is fast asleep.

Graham finally moved from laying down to sitting up this past week. Although he's been able to balance while sitting up for a while, he saw no need for moving into sitting position on his own because he could roll everywhere he wanted to go. Everything I read said that maybe he had weak upper body muscle tone, but this made no sense because he could push up on his arms and come to sitting though a crunch with support. I guess he just needed to do it in his own time, which seems to be a pattern with our boys. Graham is already pulling up on things pretty well, though he's still working on getting to a standing position. The kid loves to move, so I won't be surprised if he figures out how much quicker walking is than rolling very soon after getting to standing.

Graham is also adding to the two teeth he already has on bottom. Four more are coming in on the top. They will probably pop through any day!

On Monday Brent kept Graham home from daycare and went hiking with him. They had a great time at Big Bone Lick State Park just enjoying the scenery and each other's company.Brent especially enjoyed the time because he got to spend so much time with Oliver when he was this age and has not gotten to do it as much with Graham due to his work schedule.  Oliver and Graham become better friends every day. Oliver knows exactly how to make his baby brother laugh. Graham's laugh is contagious. We are more blessed than we ever imagined possible through these two sweet fellas!
