Happy New Year!

Aunt Holly came to town to ring in 2015 with us for the fourth time in five years. We loved having her! The boys played with her, climbed all over her, and just let her love on them. The best part was that she and I were able to work together with Graham on his walking and he can almost go all the way across a room by himself now. Plus he's interested in pulling himself to his feet in the middle of the room and taking steps all alone. I'm so proud of our baby boy!

This year we spent the morning of New Year's Eve at the Newport Aquarium. We spent a few hours watching the fish, eating lunch, and enjoying the swimming penguins. Then we came home for nap time. Oliver no longer wants to nap so it's an never-ending battle of the wills to convince him to lay down. He doesn't realize that the real reason is that the adults want a nap too! That night our house was quiet by 8:00 except for Holly and I. We stayed up to watch the ball drop and had hours of much-needed conversation.

New Years day we took the boys to play at the mall for a while before lunch at Chick-fil-a. Brent worked an early shift, so we had dinner at Flipdaddy's, a local burger restaurant. The night ended with the boys going to bed, Brent doing a lot of on-call work, and Holly and I enjoying ice cream at DQ.

This morning my sweet friend who lives in Canada had to leave again. We will miss her!
