Snow Day #2

This weekend was spent by Brent being on call and sick on Saturday while the boys and I went for a play date at Chickfila then church. Graham can now climb to the top of the Play Place but won't go down the slide without adult help. Sunday the boys and I took a quick trip to the zoo before nap time then the library after. Oliver's favorite part of the zoo was the Penguin Parade. Ashley and Zoe joined us at Chickfila and the library. The boys really enjoyed having a friend to play with other than each other. The weekend was uneventful but nice. 

We woke up this morning to what should really be referred to as an Ice Day. It started for me at 5:15 when my friend Alison and I were to go for a 3 mile run. (I'm training for the half marathon that is the first weekend in May.) It was slippery enough on the road and sidewalks that she and I decided to complete our run inside on the treadmill. As we were leaving my house for the run we learned of a two hour delay. 

After our run the morning was pretty much like any other day at our house until about 15 minutes before time to go when I learned that the decision had been revised and there was no school. Oliver watched TV while Brent rested. Graham and I played. Then I got the boys dressed and we headed to Target for some things we would have to get at the grocery store next week anyway and to play at the mall playground. For the first half hour at the playground we were alone other than the mall walkers. Four other families showed up right as the mall stores opened so we didn't stay long after that. 

Then was lunch and nap time. Bliss! The rest of the afternoon the plan is to hang out at home, make cookies, have dinner, and play. I love the part of my life where I get to be Mom to these awesome boys!
