Thanksgiving officially started for us on Wednesday night at church with the Thanksgiving Eve service. Oliver sat with Brent and I. He enjoyed the music and did pretty well sitting through the service. The best thing was on the way home that Graham told me in the car, "God loves me in my heart. And he loves Mommy and Daddy and Graham in his heart too!" We had a great conversation!
This morning started with Oliver at the side of my bed asking to go for a run. So he and I ran a mile, from our house to the end of the street and back. After we got home I went for a 6 mile run at church and Brent took the boys to the park. Then I made lunch: turkey breast, corn souffle, sweet potato casserole, veggies, and pumpkin cheesecake. We ate around noon then everyone took a nap. Brent worked from 3-7. While he was gone the boys helped me decorate the inside of the house for Christmas. We also watched TV, including Graham coming to snuggle with me. Then Oliver and I colored and practiced his reading before bed.
We are very thankful because of God's provision. We are healthy, our needs are met, and we have Jesus who loves us. What more could we ever want?
