First Camping Trip

Summer is finally officially here! My last day of work was yesterday. We kicked it off just right! Last night we had our first family camping trip. It is the first time Brent and I have been together since before I was pregnant with Oliver - over 6 1/2 years ago! We went to Miami Whitewater Park. After setting up the tent we had hot dogs over the fire for dinner. Then Brent took the boys to the park while I cleaned up. Once they got back we ate s'mores with chocolate bars and with peanut butter cups. Delicious! The boys tasted them for the first time and loved them! We finally got settled in the tent around 10:00 after sitting in front of the fire relaxing for a while. This morning everyone got up around 7:00. After breakfast of breakfast tacos, we cleaned up and the kids played. Our trip ended with a half mile hike, which both kids walked the entire time. It was super fun, though somewhat stressful because the kids are very energetic and loud! Our next trip is planned for August.
