January 28: Growing Up

It's amazing how Oliver is hitting a maturity spurt lately. He's doing a better job of listening and even stayed on "green" for 5 days in a row. At school he earned enough Cobra Bucks that he got to participate in the school-wide Rubber Chicken Race. Oliver is able to spend time by himself quietly playing Legos or other games. A favorite continues to be playing basketball and he convinced me earlier today to rearrange his room so he has room to play with his small hoop in there. His reading is improving every day, though he continues to truly love math. I can't believe my big boy is already 6 1/2 years old!
