Graham is still quite a good sleeper. Usually he goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and gets up between 6:45 and 7:30. Naps are still not a strong suit, but he's getting better about them all the time. He averages about an hour in the morning and another hour in the afternoon at daycare. At home he usually doubles the time for each nap unless we are out and about. He loves to sleep with his monkey blankie in his crib. It's his favorite toy by far!
This month Graham has been picking up more solids, though his favorites are the veggies. He loves avocado, broccoli, peas, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes. He will eat pears, mangoes, and applesauce if they are mixed with either the butternut squash or sweet potatoes. Graham is also starting to try "puffs" some. He was very uncertain at first, but now he's getting the hang of putting them in his mouth. He still has 5 milk session per day and 3 have solids with them. Two of the five times I am nursing him. My goal is to have Graham weaned from breastfeeding completely before summer ends so I've already started that process. Though I'll miss the intimacy with Graham I will have more energy, which I really need right now! Plus we have A LOT of milk in the freezer that needs to be used!
Graham can almost sit up without assistance. He cannot go from laying down to sitting up yet, though he does crunches all the time. He is really good at grabbing for the things he wants and can even put his pacifier back in his mouth on his own. Jumping is definitely Graham's favorite thing to do at daycare and at home. He jumps up and down, laughing the whole time.
A wide variety of sounds are coming out of Graham's mouth these days too. He loves to "talk", especially to Oliver. He and Oliver are becoming quite the pair, though Oliver tends to get a little rough with him sometimes.
Our little buddy is growing so fast. We are in love more and more every day!
On another note, Oliver learned how to swing on the swings by himself this week at school. He LOVES it and can go for a really long time. Our next feat will be getting him to ride on his bike all by himself. We can't wait for summer!
I just love those baby blues! |
