Back to Work

And just like that, summer is over for us. Well, sort of. I went back to work and the kids to daycare on Monday. It was my first week as an assistant principal. I spent about half of the week at school and the other half in meetings. Highlights were finishing up organizing in my office for the new year and getting to see my coach peeps at the annual retreat. Oliver started off his week at a field trip, then had a water day and bike day. Graham was the life of the group in his class, making everyone (especially the adults) smile. After school hours we went swimming on Tuesday and Thursday, to church on Wednesday night, then to movie night at church on Friday. This morning we hung out as a family at Miami Whitewater. Because of the 85th birthday celebration all entertainment was free. We rode on a quad bike for about 45 minutes then played on the playground, ate lunch, and enjoyed the wet park. Tonight we took dinner to our friends who just had a baby then went to church. It's been a good week getting back in the groove!
