The boys both enjoyed a great week at "school". Fun times included water day and game day. Oliver spends his last three days there this week before starting Kindergarten. Graham is enjoying some fun with his school friends as well.
After work hours we enjoyed going to the pool one day and played at home most of the others. Tuesday night I took the boys to their first Boone County Fair. We watched a pageant, a frog jumping contest, a horse show, and rode a few rides. Wednesday night Brent and I went to Lumenocity while the boys played with Kelsie. We enjoyed amazing music, dancing, food, and light shows. On Friday Brent kept Oliver at home for memory sake as it was his last Friday before he has to be there all of the time. They went to the zoo, saw Inside Out, and ate at Tom and Chee. That night we had pizza as a family at LaRosas. We keep these boys busy!
This weekend we spent our Saturday at Touch a Truck. The boys enjoyed climbing up into lots of different large trucks: fire trucks, diggers, and dump trucks. And that's just a few! The day ended with church. Oliver learned about Joshua and Jericho, coming home with a horn to blow the walls down. Today was a lazy Sunday other than going for Open House at the YMCA (where Graham will go to daycare after he turns 2) and swimming for about an hour. Then Brent talked me into ice cream from DQ as our last summer harrah before the craziness really starts!
The coming week will have lots of firsts for our family. I will be sure to tell about how everything goes very soon!
One other thing - both boys are memorizing Psalm 3:5-6. It is a great reminder as we start a new chapter this week. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight." Also, Oliver and I are reading through his storybook Bible from front to back. We love how it always refers to Jesus - the One who came to rescue us!
