Zoo Camp

This week Oliver enjoyed Zoo Camp. Each day he got to learn about different groups of animals. Lincoln and Crew were also in Zoo Camp so we had lunch each day with them. Monday, Oliver learned about insects and got to touch a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach and a Darkling Beetle. Tuesday his adventure was to the reptile house to learn about amphibians. On Wednesday he learned about reptiles and got to touch a blue-tongued skink. Thursday was "Bird Day" and he went on a train ride to spot birds around the zoo. On Friday Oliver got to feed a giraffe as they learned about mammals. After zoo camp on Friday I walked around the zoo with him so he could share more of his adventures with me.

While the boys were learning about animals, Graham, April and I had adventures of our own. On Monday we shopped and got Yagoot. On Tuesday we had Belgian waffles for breakfast and went to the bookstore. After picking up the boys we stopped at chickfila and are at a park. That night Oliver had his first rec basketball practice. On Wednesday Graham and I wandered through the zoo. Thursday we went to Kenwood Mall and walked around. That night after dinner the boys enjoyed Popsicles on the back porch. Friday Brent kept Graham so April and I shopped in Hyde Park and had lunch. After picking up the boys we walked around the zoo and rode both the carousel and train. Friday night at home was movie night where we watched Aladdin. The boys loved it! 

It was a fun week and we can't wait for zoo camp again next summer!
