January 5: Snow Day #1

We were supposed to go back to school on Thursday, so I spent all day Wednesday cleaning and preparing. We did take a break for painting before lunch, which was super fun. It's the first time I've ever just given them a brush and paints and let them go at it. After they were dry we hung the paintings up for Dad to enjoy when he came home from work! 

Thursday was welcomed with snow. Our first snow day of the year! We got about 2 inches by the time it was all said and done. The boys and I spent the day playing. The day started out with a fort in the living room. Their favorite, of course, was out in the snow. They sledded, made snow angels, threw snow balls, and watched as I shoveled. It was a great surprise day off!
