One Ponce a Time

Yesterday, MLK Day, I did not have to work so Brent took the day off. We sent the boys to daycare a little later than normal and went on a date. We saw The Hobbit, ate at Teak (a Thai restaurant downtown) and had Yagoot (my favorite frozen yogurt) for dessert. Even with all of these events, we still had the boys by 3:30 with plenty of time for snuggles and playing before bed.

Today we are home again because of the weather. There is at least 3 inches of snow outside and it is still falling. Even though a shortened summer is in the back of my head, we are trying to make the most of this crazy weather. Oliver and Graham spent some time playing this morning. Oliver loves entertaining his little brother! He immediately grabbed a few toys and made sure there was music for him to listen to while Graham laid in the floor. Adorable! Once Graham was in bed for his morning nap, Oliver and I finished a cardboard box robot, made a snowman from cotton balls and baked peanut butter cookies that just came out of the oven. The kitchen smells amazing now!

On another note, Oliver also is really into telling stories lately. They all begin "One ponce a time" and usually include Cookie Monster by the time the story is over. I can't wait to see what stories he has to tell today!
